Vector JKU Cargo Basket

It's that time of year when I start installing a couple more camping conveniences before the Memorial Day Weekend. I just received this Vector off-road storage rack. It's well-built and I am going to enjoy having the extra space. I added an adjustable tie-down track just inside the front lip of the Vector rack for additional tie-down points.

Great product.

I purchased the GGB aluminum tray for my JKUR. It’s getting used for its first trip for a week long Jeeping and camping trail ride in GA. It’s definitely helped fit more stuff and keep it organized.

My most asked about jeep add on

I love my GGB! It’s super light and easy to install. Holds all my things and is aluminum! Everyone always asks me on the trail what rack it is and I can’t speak highly enough of this company and their products!

Great product

This was the perfect addition to my jeep, now we can pack supplies on the rack and have room for my dogs underneath. The rack is very well built and the finish was spot on. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to add another storage option to their jk. My only disappointment was that for $500 I didn't get a vector sticker, but I guess the quality of the product makes up for it.

Only small tweaks needed

I installed this rack last Wednesday and was able to take it out for the ultimate test today. Unfortunately it did NOT pass with flying colors. Loaded it to approximately 150 lbs of gear and went up a very steep hill with several 18" to 24" waterfalls. Lots of stress on EVERYTHING on and in the rig. When we got to the top of the hill, the drivers side roll bar clamp had failed and slipped down approx. 4 inches and moved to the rear where the rack almost hit the rear window. I had torqued every bolt, Allen screw and wing-nut to the prescribed torques. It appears that when Vetor Off-Road made these clamps, they measured and built them to EXACT specifications and THEN they power coated them. The thickness of the crinkle power coat allow the clamps to close tightly on themselves before they clamp tight enough on the roll bar to 100% secure the rack. My choices were to grind off the powder coating and them re-clamp/torque them, or enlarge the roll-bar slightly by wrapping it in electrical tape. It took 3 layers of tape before the clamp felt like it would tighten enough to hold it securely to the bar to hold. The next hill climb will tell. Before that, it was going to be a 5 out of 5 rating. Sorry Vector, needs some tweaking. Still, an great rack, but not perfect yet.
